There is lots to see of our favorite Denver artists this June First Friday, but don't forget to go to Sliding Door Gallery to see the lasted works by Tony Zellaha and Nathan Abels. Tony's work (pictured) gives a glimpse into simple lands governed by shape, color and space giving way to an underlying sense of the mystery. Nathan's paintings are brooding and atmospheric and describe a sense of uncertainty primarily through landscape-based imagery.
Sliding Door's opening is 6 to 10pm at 554 Sante Fe Drive. http://www.slidingdoorgallery.com/
Also on June 6th in Denver:
"Molten" @ Space Gallery, 765 Santa Fe Drive
Exhibiting artists: Trevor Alyn, Alicia Bailey, Andrew Chapman, Rafa Jenn, Jeff Navarro, Regan Rosburg, Ryan Rosburg, Heather Seeley, Katie Taft, Jason Tielke, Rutherford Witthus
"Merge" @ Andenken Gallery, 2990 Larimer Street
Exhibiting artists: Amanda Marie, Scott Lefavor, Vincent Comparetto
(My suggestion for the evening is Andenken, Sliding Door and then Space, in that order.)
